THE TRAVELLER'S THOUGHTS

The traveller looks at the distance of his journey and sighs
Wondering when and how to get to the journey's end and not faint or die
His heart filled with a mixture of feelings
For his eyes have witnessed varied killings
Like Dickins, he looks on with great expection
Yet, his mind tells a different story like a politician in an election
He takes his first steps and halts
His luggage a burden for he stalts
The confused traveller unsure of what awaits him,
Leaves the burden behind and becomes as light as pin.

The traveller journeys on
Although the distance seems long
His heart is heavy
His unexpressed feelings makes him edgy
yet he journeys on alone
And not stopping to say hello
He aims for perfection
And to impact his generation
He battles with his emotion
Waring inhibitions, causing mental commotion
He journeys to find his purpose
For the thought of failure makes him nervous
He journeys to find his gifting
And not end up being a failure or victim

The traveller journeys on
He journeys from dusk to dawn
For he seeks inner peace
In the midst of life's mist
For when at the journeys end
Unquestioned answers he must rend.
