Ok, so my colleagues at Ghana Institute Of Journalism decided to from a reading group of some sort. They called it 'Read 4 Change Reading Clinic'.
The mission is to encourage pupils at the basic level to read, read, and read.
This is to debunk the statement that when one wants to hide anything from an African, he should put it in a book. Excited about the initiated, I got involved. After all, it is a good cause. Meetings were held and it was decided that the group visit La Nkwantanang Basic school at Madina in Accra.
We were each assigned to a class and yours truly was assigned to class six. The day was set. It was on the 5th day in the month of love. A lovely Wednesday.
We set off in the school bus admist singing 'jama'.
