Social media,
especially twitter was almost awash with the hash tag gij decides (#GIJDECIDES) over
the past few days. The tweet freaks kept the movement inspired by @alfafa_GH buzzing,
as information concerning the election flooded in by the second.
At the end
of the day, final results were declared. There were obviously winners and embittered losers .
While some
students and political avatars are trying to come to terms with the
mis(fortune), as it appears others are going through the five stages of grief.
Some of which are shown below:
1. Denial
The moment when you are “2 sure” of your preferred candidate’s victory and
the tables turn, that you still can’t come to terms with the result.
It is
simply uncontrollable. Can still be seen/ felt, even in less than 140 characters.
If only……………
This student is simply
disappointed and feels powerless at the same time. Does he perceive a “pull her
down” conspiracy?
5. Acceptance
Let’s face it. After all, the ultimate winner is GIJ.
Keep following the #GIJDECIDES on twitter for more updates.
